Sowing & growing
March-May, sow into pots or a well-prepared seedbed 13mm deep, 30cm apart. Transplant when seedlings have four or five leaves. Handle carefully so as not to disturb the roots. Plant in final growing locations 30cm apart. Keep well-watered and protect with netting to deter attack from birds and insects.
Aftercare
Cut out the main head to encourage lots of smaller side shoots.
