Sowing & growing

Sow Oct-Nov or Feb-Apr in well-prepared seed bed. Protect seedlings sown outside from very harsh winter weather with a cloche. Sow 5-6cm deep 20cm apart with rows spaced 50cm apart. Keep weed free. Can also be sown in cold greenhouse Nov-Feb for planting out in Mar.

Aftercare

Keep well watered in dry spells and watch for aphids.
