Sowing & growing

Jan-April, sow under glass. Sow finely, covering with a thin layer of compost or vermiculite. For germination, keep at 18-22°C. If germination has not occurred after 21 days, cold stratify seeds by keeping at -4-+4°C for 2-4 weeks. Transplant seedlings and acclimatise before planting out once risk of frost has passed.

Aftercare

Pinch out tips of young plants once they are 15-25cm tall for bushier plants. Flowers may require staking. Regularly deadhead for more flowers.
