Sowing & growing

Sow under glass March-May onto moist seed compost. Lightly cover with a sprinkling of soil and propagate at 21°C until germination. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots and grow on. Acclimatise before planting out when frosts have passed. Direct sow May-June onto finely raked, moist soil.

Aftercare

Pinch out growing tips for bushy plants. Water well until plants have established. Protect young plants from late frosts if sowing directly outdoors. Deadhead for more flowers.
