Sowing & growing

Sow under glass Mar-May in trays of moist seed compost. Cover with a very light layer of soil or verminulite. Germination occurs at about 21°C. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle. Acclimatise before planting out May-Jun after frost have passed. Can be sown in situ May-Jun in fine, moist soil.

Aftercare

Keep soil moist until plants are established. Pinch out the growing tips of young plants for bushier growth. Remove spent flowers regularly to keep plants blooming until first frosts.
