Courgette 'Black Beauty'
Cucurbita pepo
A classic, long, dark-green Courgette with a fine flavour. Large heavy cropping bush variety producing fruits from summer to autumn. This variety does not produce a sprawling vine, so good for smaller spaces. The large seeds and fast-growing plants make these a good vegetable to grow with children.

Sowing & growing
Under cover, sow 2-3 seeds on their edges in individual pots April-May. Sow directly outside from mid-May leaving 60cm between plants. Thin out to the strongest plant per pot/position. If sown under cover, acclimatise plants before planting 60-80cm apart when risk of frost has passed.
Aftercare
Keep plants well-watered. Pick fruits when 10-15cm long to keep plant producing more.
