Flowering

Sowing & growing

Sow indoors Mar-May, or in-situ in May-Jun. Sow onto moist seed compost and cover with a fine layer of compost or vermiculite. Keep at ~20°C for germination and ensure soil is kept damp. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle and grow on. Acclimatise young plants before planting out 30cm apart when risk of frost has passed.

Aftercare

Prefers full sun in well-drained, fertile soil. Do not overwater. Pinch out the growing tips of young plants for bushier plants with more flowers. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.
