Flowers
Digitalis 'Apricot' (Foxgloves)
Foxgloves
This elegant foxglove offers something different; if the hot pinks of the wild species don't fit in with your colour scheme, the pale dusky flowers of this variety will give a softer effect. Produced on lofty stems held above a rosette of woolly foliage. Popular with bees and other pollinators. Caution: All parts of the plant are poisonous if ingested

Growing calendar
Sowing & growing
March to May, sow under cover. Sow sparingly onto the surface of seed compost and firm down. Do not cover. The seeds need light and warmth to germinate. Once established, seedlings can be pricked out into pots and grown on. Acclimatise young plants before planting out May-June, or Sep-Oct for flowers the following year. Can be sown in-situ May-June.
Aftercare
Cut off flower stalks as flowers fade if you do not want them to self-seed.
