Sowing & growing

Digitalis seeds need light to germinate. Sow sparingly and firm down onto the surface of moist seedling compost, do not cover with soil. The seedlings can be pricked out to individual pots when large enough to handle. Finally transplant into their final growing position once frosts have passed. Alternatively they can be sown outside where they are to grow in May-June.

Aftercare

Water during summer months if there's insufficent rainfall. Remove flower spikes as they fade to avoid self seeding.
