Sowing & growing
Best sown direct in Apr-Jun, sow with 10cm spacing, 4cm deep in rows 60cm apart. Germinates within 1-2 weeks at 18-20°C. Loves a humus-rich soil in full sun but will tolerate partial sun. Water during flowering and setting of pods but be careful not to overwater. Harvest either green pods for fresh Edamame beans or wait for the pods to fully mature and start to brown to dry as Soybeans.
Aftercare
Mulch during hot summer to help retain moisture.
