Sowing & growing

Sow under cover Jan-May. Sow onto the surface of compost in trays and lightly cover. Seeds require the warmth of a windowsill or propagator at 20-25°C to germinate. Transplant to individual pots once seedlings are large enough to handle. Plant out to final position once the risk of frost has passed. Spacing 50cm apart.

Aftercare

Cut back close to ground in late winter before new growth emerges in spring.
