Flowering

Sowing & growing

Sow indoors Feb-Apr, 3 mm deep in moist seed compost. Keep at 15-18°C until germination occurs. Prick out seedlings and grow on under cover. Harden off before planting out 30cm apart when frosts have passed. Alternatively sow directly outside in May-Jul in 6mm deep drills in well prepared soil, 30cm between rows.

Aftercare

Cut back after flowering to encourage a second flush.
