Sowing & growing
Soak seeds for 48 hours before sowing. Best sown directly where you want them to flower May-Jun. Sow 1mm deep, very sparingly into prepared soil raked to a fine tilth. Thin out seedlings to 30cm apart once germinated. Sow under cover March-May, planted 3mm deep in moist seed compost. Germinate at 20°C in propagator or sunny windowsill. Prick out to individual pots and plant out when risks of frost has passed.
Aftercare
Provide plenty of support with canes, poles or netting as these vigorous climbers can cover a large area in one season.
