Sowing & growing

Soak seeds 48hrs before sowing. Sow under cover Mar-May, 5-10mm deep. Seeds need temperatures of 18-20°C to germinate. Prick out seedlings to individual pots when large enough. Harden off and transplant to final position 50cm apart, after risk of frost has passed. Can also be sown direct in Mar-May, alternatively in Sep-Oct under cover for earlier flowers the following year.

Aftercare

Cut back faded flower spikes. Water and feed to get a second flush of blooms.
