Sowing & growing

Sow direct Mar-May where they are to flower in shallow drills around 5mm deep. Keep the soil moist and seedlings should stat to appear in ~2 weeks. Alternatively can be sown in pots in autumn and overwintered in a cold-frame or unheated greenhouse. These autumn-sown plants can be planted out after frosts have passed for an earlier display.

Aftercare

Do not overfeed, as this will encourage more foliage and less "Bunny Tails". Prefers a warm sunny site, and not being kept too wet.
