Sowing & growing

Sow inside Feb-Mar in trays with fresh seed compost. Cover with thin layer of vermiculite or compost. Once germinated prick out into individual pots or modules and move to a coldframe or unheated greenhouse, to acclimatize to outdoor conditions before planting out to final position. Plant 30-40 cm apart in rich, fertile soil. Alternatively sow outside from late Mar-Apr, directly into well-prepared soil. .

Aftercare
