Flowering

Sowing & growing

Sow under cover Feb-May lightly cover the seeds and keep at 18-20C. Germination can be slow and take up to two months. Cold stratify in the fridge if germination fails and return to warmth to break the seeds natural dormancy. Alternatively sow directly outside Aug-Nov lightly cover and the fluctuating winter temparatures should waken the seed for Spring germination.

Aftercare

Cut back ofter flowering. Leave until seedheads are fully dry and shake them well if you would like them to self-seed.
