Radish 'Mooli'
Raphanus sativus 'Longipinnatus'
With exotic, elongated roots, this easy-to-grow radish can be used in a number of different ways, from sliced in salads and stir fries, to baked, boiled and mashed. With the additional perk of cropping over autumn, when other vegetables have already been harvested, this is a fun vegetable to grow.

Growing calendar
Sowing & growing
Sow June-Sep where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep in pre-watered, well-drained soil, rows 30cm apart. Gradually thin seedlings to 10cm apart, pulling up baby roots earlier to make room for larger roots to grow for later harvest. Sow every 2 weeks for continual supply in autumn. Requires full sun.
Aftercare
Lift all roots by the end of autumn, or before any hard frosts. Store in boxes of sand and use over the winter.
