Sowing & growing
Sow under glass Feb-Apr in moist seed compost. Cover with a thin cover of compost or vermiculite, as light is required for germination. Germinates at temperatures around ~20°C. If no germination occurs after 4 weeks, move to temperatures -4°C-+4°C for 4 weeks to stratify, and then bring it back to the warmth. When large enough to handle, transplant and acclimatise, before planting out 45cm apart when all risk of frost has passed.
Aftercare
Deadhead to avoid self-seeding. Apply mulch to prevent the soil from drying out.
