Sowing & growing

Soak the seeds prior to sowing inside during Oct-Mar, sow 25mm deep and germinate at 20C. Keep under cover until the risk of frost has passed and plant out in a well drained fertile soil 90cm apart. Feed well and water during dry spells.

Aftercare

Cover plant well with mulch in Winter to protect the crown. Do not harvest any stalks the first year to allow the plant to establish.
