Sowing & growing

Sow under glass Oct-April, 2-3 seeds per pot of seed compost. Alternatively sow in root trainers. Seeds will need to be kept at 20-25°C for germination. Grow on seedlings in cool conditions until weather is mild enough in the spring to plant them out. April-May, sow seeds where they are to flower 2.5cm deep.

Aftercare

Keep well-watered in dry spells and tie stems to their supports. Keep picking and removing spent flowers to keep plant from going to seed. Routinely fertilise to encourage further flowering.
