Flowering

Sowing & growing

Sow inside Oct-Apr. Soak seeds in water for 24 hours prior to sowing to aid germination. Sow in deep trays or pots, 1cm deep, and propagate at 20-25°C. Grow seedlings on in cooler temperatures and acclimatise before planting out when frosts have passed. Alternatively, sow outdoors Apr-May, 2.5cm deep, 8cm apart. Pinch out the tips once the 2nd set of leaves appear, to encourage side shoots.

Aftercare

Pick the flowers or deadhead regularly to ensure continued flowering. Keep cut flowers out of direct sunlight to prolong vase life.
