Flowering

Sowing & growing

Sow under glass Oct-April. Winter sowing will give strong plants the following year. Sow 1cm deep in pots or root trainers with good seed compost. Germinate at 20-25°C and grow on at cooler temperatures when seedlings appear. Harden off before planting out in mild weather when frosts have passed. Sow direct April-May, 2.5cm deep.

Aftercare

Keep cutting the flowers, or removing faded flowers to encourage more blooms. Once seed is allowed to set, flowering will stop. You can support continued flowering with regular fertilising.
