Sweet peas in a mixture of blues, pinks and purples with scented flowers and strong stems for cut flowers. The flowers are beautiful scrambling up a trellis, obelisk or arch, but just as beguiling cut and displayed in a vase where you can inhale their intoxicating summer perfume.

Growing calendar
Sowing & growing
Soak seeds in water for 24 hours before sowing. Best sown under glass, Oct-April, 1cm deep in pots of seed compost. Sow 2-3 seeds per pot. Keep seeds at 20-25°C for germination. Grow seedlings on at cooler temperatures. Harden off outdoors before planting out. Sow directly 2.5cm deep April-May or when frosts have passed.
Aftercare
Provide support for these climbers to scramble up. For more flowers, keep cutting or deadheading. Flowering will cease if flowers are allowed to go to seed.
