Sowing & growing
Sow indoors between Nov-Mar on moist seed compost, cover very lightly. Keep at ~20°C in a propagator until germination occurs in 2-4 weeks. This sometimes takes months! You can cold-stratify by placing in the fridge for 2-3 weeks and return to the propagator to try and break seed dormancy. Once large enough to handle transplant into individal pots and plant out after frosts have passed.
Aftercare
Can be divided in spring. Requires little attention, rake out old dead growth with fingertips as required.
