Growing calendar
Sowing & growing
Surface sow under cover Feb-April in moist seed compost. Cover with a very thin layer of soil, as light is required for germination. Place in propagator or a warm sill at 20-24°C. When large enough to handle, pot up and gradually acclimatise before planting out 30cm apart, in sunny position when risk of frost has passed. Alternatively sow where they are to grow May-June.
Aftercare
Deadhead or cut flowers regularly to prolong the flowering period. Do not feed.
