Sowing & growing
Sow under cover Nov-Feb. Surface sow onto moist, seed compost and cover with 10mm vermiculite. Propagate at 20-25°C for germination. Grow seedlings on at a cooler temperature. When large enough to handle, transplant into pots and gradually acclimatise before planting out 30cm apart, when all risk of frost has passed. From late May-June, can also be sown directly outdoors, 6mm deep in fine soil.
Aftercare
Needs a liquid feed every 6 weeks. Can be overwintered if potted up and brought under cover at the end of the season. Cut back to a more manageable size if doing this.
