Tomato 'Gardeners Delight'
Solanum lycopersicum
An easy-to-grow and reliable cropper, with small fruits on long trusses which tend to ripen at the same time. While it does well in pots or grow bags outside, if grown in a frost-free greenhouse with its growing tip left, it will remain productive until November. Fruits freeze well.

Growing calendar
Sowing & growing
Feb-April, surface sow indoors in seed trays or pots of seed compost. Cover with fine layer of compost or vermiculite. Place on a sunny windowsill or in propagator at 18-21°C. Transplant when seedlings have 2 true leaves, handling by the leaves rather than the stem. Grow on at minimum temperature of 15°C.
Aftercare
Main stem will require support from cane. Tie in with soft garden twine and continue to pinch off side shoots as it grows. Water regularly and feed weekly when flowers form.
