Sowing & growing

Sow indoors Mar-Apr or Aug-Sep in well drained compost. With a light covering of compost they germinate at 15-20°C. Prick-out once large enough to handle and acclimatise the young plants, only planting out after risk of frost has passed. Alternatively sow directly outside Apr-May. Thin the seedlings to 15cm apart.

Aftercare

Deadhead or pick flowers to extend the flowering period, if plants become leggy cut back to promote regrowth.
